A Starter Unit is a complete, four-post bay that can stand alone. An Add-On Unit uses two new posts and shares two posts with the adjoining unit through S-hooks, so it must connect to a compatible Starter Unit or existing bay.

- Two connected bays require one Starter Unit plus one Add-On Unit.
- Three connected bays require one Starter Unit plus two Add-On Units.
- Each separate row needs its own Starter Unit. Match depth, height, finish, and shelf positions throughout the run.
