Chrome Wire Shelving
Quantum chrome wire shelving provides strong, adjustable storage for dry indoor areas such as warehouses, stockrooms, retail backrooms, offices, and supply rooms. Its open-wire construction improves visibility and airflow while helping limit dust buildup.
Choose a Starter Unit for one complete freestanding bay. To create a connected row, begin with one Starter Unit and add compatible Add-On Units. Match the depth, width, height, shelf count, and finish to the space and load; shelf capacity varies by configuration.

Quantum Chrome Wire Shelving for Dry Storage
Chrome wire shelving is a practical choice for dry, climate-controlled storage where visibility, airflow, and a clean appearance matter. Quantum’s open-wire shelves adjust on 1-inch centers, so you can change shelf spacing as cartons, tools, parts, and supplies change. Current units are offered in multiple dimensions and shelf counts; always use the capacity shown for the exact size and configuration you select.
Which Wire Shelving Finish Should You Choose?
- Chrome: best for dry warehouses, offices, retail backrooms, and general stockrooms.
- Stainless steel: the strongest choice for corrosive, high-humidity, clean-room, or frequently cleaned environments.
- Epoxy: a cost-effective option for wet or humid areas; green and gray are common in foodservice and cooler storage, while black also works well in customer-facing or display areas.
For moisture or frequent cleaning, compare stainless steel wire shelving and epoxy wire shelving instead of choosing chrome by appearance alone.
Starter Units vs. Add-On Units
A Starter Unit is a complete freestanding bay with four posts and the selected shelves. An Add-On Unit is an expansion bay that uses two new posts while sharing two posts from the adjoining unit; S-hooks support the shared side. An Add-On Unit is not a standalone shelf.
- One bay: order one Starter Unit.
- Two connected bays: order one Starter Unit and one compatible Add-On Unit.
- Three connected bays: order one Starter Unit and two compatible Add-On Units.
- Begin each separate row with its own Starter Unit, and match depth, height, finish, and shelf levels before ordering.
